Wed found a house we wanted to buy but had to sell ours first. A house wed lived in for more than 10 years, and we had three weeks to get it ready to sell.The second time was more stressful, even traumatic. My husband and I had parted, and I had to get the house ready for sale on my own.The only way I managed either time was by having a list of things to do each and every day. That list led to the birth of this book. The steps work equally well if you want to declutter and reclaim your spaces. You will begin by seeing your house as others (especially buyers) see it and you then move systematically through each room and onto the outside where I ask you to think about everything from your gutters to your garden to your heating/cooling systems. The only thing you will need in abundance is elbow grease (i.e. strenuous physical exertion).So, block out 30 days (they dont have to be consecutive unless youre in a hurry), because youre going to be entirely focused on getting your old house ready to become a new house. Each day has a ToDo List so you can jot down what you need to do and mark complete when done. So satisfying!
