Niedergelassene rztinnen und rzte knnten eine Schlsselstellung einnehmen bei der Identifikation huslicher Gewalt, bei der Untersttzung der Opfer und bei der Prvention weiterer Misshandlungen. Die Bedeutung "Huslicher Gewalt" fr die Gesundheit von Frauen und fr das Gesundheitswesen wurde in Deutschland bisher kaum thematisiert. Fr die vorliegende Arbeit wurden erstmals niedergelassene rztinnen und rzte in zwei Berliner Bezirken befragt. Wie hufig erkennen rztinnen und rzte, dass ihre Patientinnen vom Ehemann oder Partner misshandelt wurden? Welche Faktoren verhindern, dass Patientinnen in der Arztpraxis ber ihre Gewalterfahrungen sprechen? Wie gut fhlen sich rztinnen und rzte informiert und welche Verbesserungsmglichkeiten sehen sie? Die Autorin gibt zunchst einen berblick ber die im In und Ausland vorliegenden Studienergebnisse zum Ausma und zu den Folgen huslicher Gewalt. Danach werden die Ergebnisse der Berliner Befragung ausfhrlich dargestellt und daraus Ansatzpunkte fr konkretes Handeln im Gesundheitswesen abgeleitet.
