Gesammelt sollten diese Umdrucke eine Art hydrogeologisches 'Kochbuch' bilden. Doch erwiesen sich die Resultate unserer damaligen Muhen als wenig zufrieden stelIend. Vor allem zeigte sich, dass grundwasserhydraulische Probleme ohne intensive Darstellung der theoretischen Grundlagen nicht verstandlich dargelegt werden konnen. Als Ergebnis der daraufhin einsetzenden Uberlegungen und Arbeiten liegt das Buch in seiner jetZigen Form vor. Das Buch wendet sich insbesondere an Geologen und Hydrogeologen, und zwar sowohl an die Studierenden als auch an die Praktiker in Amtern, Ingenieurburos und Betrieben. Daruber hinaus ist das Buch auch fur die auf dem Grundwassersektor arbeitenden Hydro logen und Bauingenieure brauchbar.'
