About the Author Prof. em. Jochen Gros lehrte von 19742004 Designtheorie an der Hochschule fr Gestaltung Offenbach. Seit seiner Emeritierung konzentriert sich der Autor auf die Veranschaulichung von Wrtern und die hierbei ersichtliche Philosophie der Begriffe. Mit dem experimentellen Design sprachanaloger PiktogrammSysteme und IconVokabulare versucht er, die Anstze von Otto Neurath und Charles K. Bliss zu erneuern und sie fr die elektronische Textverarbeitung zu programmieren. Sein besonderes Interesse gilt den chinesischen Schriftzeichen und ihrer Geschichte.
