Este libro analiza los procesos de construccin de identificaciones colectivas de trabajadores feriantes de la ciudad de La Plata, y la manera en la que estas se expresan y constituyen en sus organizaciones sociales y polticas. La autora se propone producir una herramienta de anlisis terica, que permita responder en qu medida las formas identitarias colectivas de trabajadores informales se expresan en la conformacin de sus organizaciones y de qu manera estas ltimas contribuyen a la constitucin de esas identificaciones colectivas. A fines comparativos, se analizan tres tipos de ferias comerciales: las ferias de frutas y verduras, las ferias artesanales y las ferias de ropa y productores diversos. La investigacin que dio lugar al presente libro ha sido aprobada como tesis doctoral en Sociologa (tesis en cotutela: Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina, y Universit de Provence, Francia), habiendo sido evaluada como sobresaliente summa cum laude.
