In some parts of the world it seems the Seventhday Adventist Church is in danger of settling down into a social club. Including the courageous speech If I Were the Devil, presented at the 2000 General Conference session, this book is an insightful look at Adventisms mission, structure, and contemporary challenges. Not just for church administrators and academicsthis is a call to duty to all church members, a call to become a church alive with passion and purpose. Let these pages reinvigorate you with fresh thoughts about the Adventist mission and how to accomplish it. Because the world doesnt need another social club. It needs to hear Gods message.

I recently picked up 'If I Were The Devil' and found it to be an eye-opening read. The author tackles contemporary challenges facing Adventism with such clarity. It really made me reflect on how we see the world around us. A must-read for anyone in the faith community!

Not What I Expected
I had high hopes for this book, but it didn't quite hit the mark for me. The ideas presented were interesting, but I felt the writing style could have been more engaging. Additionally, the focus on certain challenges seemed narrow. Just not my cup of tea.

Good Content, But A Bit Dense
This book is filled with great ideas about the issues Adventism faces today. However, some parts felt a bit dense and hard to digest. I found myself rereading sections to fully grasp the points being made. Still, it's worth your time if you're interested in religious discussions.
