This is, according to the dust jacket, the first commercially produced book of silkscreened printed photographs in publishing history. There were, of course, any number of fine press books done in this fashion , including a very limited edition of this one. there are thirty silkscreened printed photographs of the Tibetan Buddhist Refugee Settlements in northern India which were derived from black and white negatives taken in 1969.
