This book is a treasure for anyone interested in Indian mythology. The translation of the Devimahatmya really captures its essence and makes it accessible. I bought it for my sister who practices yoga; she loves reading it during her meditative sessions!

Not what I expected
I was a bit disappointed with this book. I thought it would be more visually engaging or have illustrations. The content is intriguing, but it felt dry and academic. Definitely not my favorite read, though I appreciate the topic.

Informative but a bit dense
I found 'In Praise of the Goddess' to be really insightful, but it was challenging to get through at times. The interpretations of the text are thoughtful, but I wish there were more context provided with each section. Still, it's a good read for those wanting to delve into Devi worship.
