But the dynamic here is motion, not change, and for all the activity, not much really happens. Focus of meaning and spirit eludes, and the language lies unremarkable both in word and cadence. The opening phrase once upon a time'' sets up an expectation for a classic development that isn't delivered, and the character growth that conventionally results from a circular journey doesn't happen here.
