Este trabajo est destinado a dar conocimiento respecto a lo que la Trata de Esclavos signific en la economa de Chile, pas alejado de los centros econmicos de la corona espaola, pero que lo llev al comercio negrero empujado por la demanda incipiente en su etapa agrcola y que posteriormente fu reemplazado el esclavo por el inquilino criollo, forma de esclavitud disimulada que marc a Chile hasta mediados del siglo XIX. El comercio negrero no dej grandes huellas en nuestra historia como otros pases latinoamericanos y por lo mismo gran parte de los chilenos la desconocen.
