Migrando desde el estado de Oaxaca, mixtecos y chocholtecos se han ubicado contando ya cuatro dcadas en la colonia San Miguel Teotongo de la delegacin Iztapalapa, coconstruyndola con vecinos mestizos. Desde esta compleja y multicultural periferia urbana han luchado contra las exclusiones colectivizndose en tanto que oaxaqueos y mixtecos o chocholtecos, reinventndose a partir de estrategias tanto polticas como econmicas que trascienden el espacio local y amplan las fronteras tnicas.
