Se incluye una investigacin de campo que permite conocer cmo participa la industria editorial en Mxico en el desarrollo de colecciones en bibliotecas y unidades de informacin y se destaca que en la actualidad, un vasto nmero de organismos, empresas, instituciones e iniciativas han ido conformando el sector de la industria editorial para constituirse en elemento que marca el grado de desarrollo social, cultural y econmico del pas del que forman parte.
