This work focuses on three major interrelated themes for a wideranging analysis of industrialization in Indiathe loss of momentum in industrialization through fundamental weaknesses, the response of labor to development, and the paradoxical functioning of the tripartite industrial relations system and the dilemma of people and productivity.
