Die Durchftihrung von Organisationsanderungen gewinnt in der betrieblichen Praxis zunehmende Bedeutung, zum einen aus einem gewandelten Marktverstandnis heraus, zum anderen durch den strukturpragenden Faktor Informationstechnologie und dessen Entwicklungsdynamik. Der Einsatz von Informationstechnologie wird in Arbeiten tiber Organisationsanderungen unzureichend berticksichtigt oder die organisatorische Einbindung liegt auf zu hoch aggregiertem Niveau. Implementierungsansatze sind oft zu sehr Hard und Softwareorientiert. Dem steht gegentiber, daB gerade Informationstechnologie oft zu dysfunktionalen An passungsreaktionen in Organisationen ftihrt. Die vorliegende Arbeit, die aus einer Dissertation im Fach bereich Wirtschaftswissenschaften der Johann Wolfgang GoetheUniversitat, Frankfurt a. M. entstanden ist, hat es sich daher zur Aufgabe gemacht, ein allgemeingtiltiges Modell der Organisationsanderung unter Einbindung der Informations technologie als Hilfsmittel, Gegenstand und/oder Katalysator der Anderung zu entwerfen. Ein wichtiges Ziel ist die Ent wicklung hin zu einer anderungsbewuBten Organisation, welche zuktinftige Anderungen teilweise antizipiert. Die Methodologie mit der Bezeichnung "Organisations Engi neering" weist konzeptionelle Ahnlichkeiten zum Software Engineering auf. Sie liefert ein Rahmenwerk zur gezielten Organisationsanderung und ist am Paradigma der permanent en Anderungssituation orientiert, sieht demnach eine Anderung nicht nur als Projekt. Es erfolgt eine starkere Institutio nalisierung des Anderungsgedankens unter Berticksichtigung der Informationstechnologie. Letztendlich werden Gedanken der Organisationsentwicklung sowie der situativen Organisa tionstheorie verwirklicht und integriert.
