Product Description Die Entstehung der Sozialarbeit und die Entwicklung der Sozialpolitik waren von Anfang an in einen internationalen Kommunikationszusammenhang eingebunden. Whrend die Geschichtsschreibung sich hufig am nationalen Rahmen der Sozialarbeit orientiert und nur gelegentlich bei den Biographien aus den sozialpdagogischen Grndergenerationen auf internationale Zusammenhnge verweist, soll diese Perspektive in diesem Band genauer untersucht werden. Die Schwerpunkte, das Ausma und die Folgen der transnationalen Rezeption, einer selbstverstndlichen Form des interkulturellen Lernens, sollen fr unterschiedlichen Epochen und Lnder untersucht werden. Darber hinaus wird auch die biografische Perspektive aufgegriffen. Als Ergebnis des Bandes zeigt sich eine wichtige Tradition der international angeregten Innovation, ohne die die Sozialpdagogik/Sozialarbeit in ihrer heutigen Form nicht zu verstehen wre. Schlielich soll deutlich werden, dass diese Tradition gegen den neuen Nationalismus der Gegenwart ihres humanen Kerns wegen bewusst gemacht zu werden verdient.
