Flood risk is increasing worldwide in the context of population growth, socioeconomic development, and climate change. Therefore, an integrated approach for flood risk assessment is crucial. This book provides concepts and a method for integrated flood risk assessment in a floodprone area. The approach considers components of flood risk such as hazard and vulnerability related to economic, social and environmental. The case study in the Day River flood diversion area of Vietnam is applied. The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) was appraised as quite satisfactory for quantifying the weights to parameters of flood risk. The Decision Tree Analysis (DTA), in conjunction with dummy simulation skills, was an effective tool in the operation of a complex flood control system created using MIKE 11 model. Integrated flood risk is assessed in floodcells where 2D flood flow is simulated using MIKE 21 model. The outputs of integrated flood risk assessment provide valuable information for policy makers, responsible authorities, and local residents in planning for flood risk reduction in the study area.
