Inteligencia sentiente es el ttulo de la triloga de Xavier Zubiri sobre la inteleccin, constituida por los tres libros: Inteligencia y realidad, Inteligencia y logos e Inteligencia y razn. Aqu se ofrecen en edicin abreviada unitaria: aunque reducida en extensin, puede considerarse formalmente ntegra en su contenido. La obra se refiere al tradicional "problema del saber" o " problema del conocer" y puede situarse en el mbito del problema crtico, teora del conocimiento o epistemologa. Para Zubiri, los enfoques y las soluciones histricamente precedentes de respuesta a las preguntas clsicas "qu podemos saber" y "cmo podemos saberlo" haban sido conceptistas, idealistas. La inteleccin no es para Zubiri cuestin de razonamientos conceptuales, sino cuestin de anlisis de los hechos: "Ciertamente es un anlisis complejo y no fcil [...]. Pero es mero anlisis"; de tal modo que la inteleccin es la "mera actualizacin de lo real en la inteligencia humana". El texto va precedido de una introduccin, que consta de una cronobiografa del filsofo y un conjunto de breves estudios sobre el pensador y su obra entre los que pueden considerarse como ms originales los correspondientes a las presencia de las ciencias, sobre todo la fsica, en su obra metafsica.
