Bei dem deutschen Gesundheitsmarkt handelt es sich um einen Markt, der durch ein enormes Wachstum geprgt ist. Dies liegt nicht zuletzt daran, dass der berwiegende Teil der Bevlkerung in der gesetzlichen Krankenversicherung freiwillig oder pflichtversichert ist. Unsere Gesellschaft wird immer lter und ist deshalb in Zukunft vermehrt auf die Leistungen des Gesundheitswesens angewiesen. Des Weiteren stellt das Gesundheitssystem einen groen Arbeitsmarkt mit vielen Millionen Beschftigten dar und ist eine ewige Reformbaustelle", die durch einige strukturelle Mngel gekennzeichnet ist. Dies alles sind Ansatzpunkte fr mchtige organisierte Gruppen, die im Gesundheitswesen aktiv sind und versuchen ihre Interessen gegenber dem System und der Politik durchzusetzen. Das Scheitern vieler notwendiger Reformen ist nicht allein auf die knappen finanziellen Mittel zurckzufhren, sondern auch auf die erfolgreichen Eingriffe bestimmter Interessenverbnde. Bei der Lobbyarbeit spielt sich vieles im Verborgenen ab und wird deshalb von der ffentlichkeit nicht immer wahrgenommen.
