In this book, a new frequency reuse scheme is proposed to mitigate the intercell interference for the future OFDM based systems. In addition, a new frequency allocation technique and power allocation methods are illustrated. This provides an efficient spectrum allocation at the edge and center of the cell to coordinate with Femtocells and Macrocells for better network performance. It has been observed from the results that this novel technique with the Femtocells guarantees significantly increased datarate, increased network power efficiency, frequency reuse factor of one throughout the cell, reduced intercell interference and increased network capacity with simple design to meet the QoS need of users. This frequency reuse scheme provides a solution for current challenges in wireless industries by offering a simple and efficient intercell interference coordination (ICIC) technique for the nextgeneration wireless network.
