Interkulturelle Kommunikation wird dabei aus einer Perspektive betrachtet, aus der sie vor allem nur deswegen fr das Arbeitsleben der Menschen relevant ist, da dieses aufgrund der weltweiten ffnung der Mrkte mit interkulturellen Kontakten und Auslandsaufenthalten verbunden ist bzw. viele Angehrige anderer Lnder ins Inland immigrieren. Dies jedoch stellt eine unzulssige Reduktion der Inhalte und Ziele interkultureller Kommunikation dar und verliert die Reichweite des Erwerbs interkultureller Kompetenz fr das alltgliche Leben eines jeden aus den Augen. In dieser Arbeit wird herausgearbeitet, dass durch das Lernen interkultureller Kompetenz eine Interaktionsfhigkeit und Weltsicht erlangt wird, die auf smtliche Kontexte und Situationen im Leben anwendbar ist. Denn interkulturelle Kompetenz ermglicht erfolgreiche Kommunikation, durch welche konflikttrchtige Missverstndnisse und destruktive Konflikte vermieden werden knnen, lehrt zudem allgemein wichtige soziale Kompetenzen sowie einen konstruktiven Umgang mit Konflikten und hilft Vorurteile und rassistische Neigungen abzubauen. Abgesehen davon, dass fast jeder Mensch in den meisten Industrienationen tagtglich mit Angehrigen anderer ethnischer oder nationaler Kulturen interagiert, ist der Erwerb interkultureller Kompetenz generell fr alle Menschen sinnvoll, unabhngig davon, ob die Interaktionspartner international sind oder kulturelle Unterschiede anderer, z.B. gesellschaftlicher oder
