Using a wide range of sources from the monuments on the Gettysburg battlefield to accounts of the participants, the author rewrites the conventional thinking about the most famous charge of the Civil War. Each chapter reconstructs a piece of the timeline on July 3rd, 1863 and includes maps of artillery and infantry positions. Annotation c. by Book News, Inc., Portland, Or.

I recently purchased the 'Into the Fight: Pickett's Charge at Gettysburg' book, and I’m blown away by the level of detail in the illustrations and the narrative. The way it captures the emotions of that historic moment really brings it to life. Highly recommend for history buffs!

A good read, but some parts dragged
This book on Pickett's Charge is informative and well-written, but I felt a few sections were a bit too lengthy. I loved the battle maps and the personal accounts included. Overall, worth a read if you’re into Civil War history!
