Intra Texte und Ubungen I umfasst 25 Lektionen. Wo es sich anbietet, wird der neue Grammatikstoff schon in fakultativen Vortexten (Intra!) anhand bekannter Vokabeln und Inhalte dargeboten. Die Lesestucke behandeln Themen zum romischen Alltag, zur griechischen und romischen Mythologie und zur romischen Geschichte. Abwechslungsreiche, motivierend eingekleidete, oft ganzheitlich handlungsorientierte Aufgaben dienen der Textarbeit sowie der Einubung von Formen, Satzstrukturen und Wortschatz. Der Aufgabenteil jeder Lektion von Intra beginnt mit auf den Text bezogenen Einstiegsaufgaben. Weitere Aufgaben zum Lesestuck sichern das Textverstandnis, fuhren behutsam in Interpretationsmethoden ein und regen durch die Herstellung lebensweltlicher Bezuge zum Weiterdenken an. Die sprachlichen Ubungen sind situativ eingebettet, sodass die Funktionalitat von Sprache standig bewusst wird. Jede Lektion enthalt Aufgaben, in denen Bezuge zur deutschen Sprache, zum Englischen und zu anderen modernen Fremdsprachen hergestellt werden. Der Aufgabenteil wird in Intra stets durch einen fakultativen deutschlateinischen Ubersetzungstext abgeschlossen. Die Kinder werden umfassend in die Welt der Antike eingefuhrt: Deshalb vertiefen altersgerecht verfasste deutsche Informationstexte die Themen der Lesestucke. Intras speziell fur die Altersgruppe entworfenes Layout, das ubersichtlich, orientierend, ruhig und klar wirkt, unterstutzt das Lernen visuell. Kindgemasse Zeichnungen veranschaulichen Sachverhalte und Arbeitsauftrage; Fotos schaffen zusatzliche Zugange zu den Lektionsthemen.
