The ultimate aim of the strategy should be to promote Cooperative, Coordinated & Integrated control and management of IAPS to reduce their ecological, economic and social impacts on human and natural resources. The review of recent national, regional and international publications and policies and legislation relevant to IAPS management, the synthesis of existing literature on the bioecology and invasion ecology of IAPS and possible control strategies and mechanical, chemical and biological treatment methods should form the basis of the desk study.
