Beim RANKLiganden handelt es sich um ein regulatorisches Protein im Knochenmetabolismus, dessen Reduktion mit dem Auftreten von Kiefernekrosen nach langjhriger Bisphosphonattherapie einhergeht. Lokalisationsbezogen wird der RANKLigand in Osteoblasten unterschiedlicher entwicklungsgeschichtlicher Abstammung in vernderlicher Quantitt exprimiert. Ein kausaler Zusammenhang zwischen der Reduktion des RANKLiganden und der Ausprgung des Krankheitsbildes der Bisphosphonatassoziierten Kiefernekrose ist daher sehr wahrscheinlich. In vorliegender Untersuchung wurden die Auswirkungen des Aminobisphosphonats Pamidronat auf die RANKLExpression in Osteoblasten mesenchymaler im Vergleich zu Osteoblasten neuroektodermaler Abstammung, differentiell anhand eines invitroVersuches analysiert. Aufgrund positiver Effekte auf die Knochenregeneration bei nicht heilenden chronischen Wunden wurde das Mitogen PDGF als mgliches Therapeutikum zur Behandlung der Bisphosphonatassoziierten Kiefernekrose diskutiert.
