Grundstzlich kann in Europa durchschnittlich mit Kosten von rund 4 % des Emissionsvolumens als Bankenhonorar und nochmals bis zur Hlfte davon an sonstigen Emissionskosten gerechnet werden. Die indirekten Kosten in Form des Underpricings sind dagegen viel schwerer vorherzusagen. In sterreich liegt diese Zeichnungsrendite, je nach Untersuchung, im Schnitt zwischen 6,5 % bzw. 8,2 %. Trotz der Argumente, die eine arbitrre Aktienzuteilung, geringe Transparenz und hhere Kosten beim Bookbuildingverfahren kritisieren, hat sich dieses zum gebruchlichsten Emissionsverfahren etabliert.
