Isla de luz (Island of Light) is the third title in our successful Storytellers Series. The Series is appropriate for highbeginner and lowintermediate learners of Spanish. This new novella takes readers on a timetravel journey with 'H0011' (the protagonist), who is from Earths future. As readers travel back in time with H0011 they are simultaneously introduced to important historical moments in Hispanic history, with a particular focus on the Caribbean region. This engaging story, written for intermediate students of Spanish, provides a format to encourage students to read for pleasure in Spanish and thereby further develop their language skills. Activities for students and suggestions for professors, in addition to a useful timeline of important dates in history, offer pedagogical tools that facilitate use of this reader in the class.
