Der Band liefert nun eine Bestandsaufnahme und zieht die entsprechenden gesellschaftlichen Folgerungen: Im Rahmen der Zivilgesellschaft ist zu berlegen, welche Rolle der Islam als dritte Sule spielt, und welche Konsequenzen daraus sowohl verfassungsrechtlich als auch bildungspolitisch zu ziehen sind. Im Rahmen des Alltagslebens ist zu bedenken, welche Bedeutung der Islam als religise Orientierung der Jugendlichen und Heranwachsenden besitzt und welche Wege demzufolge in der schulischen wie auerschulischen Bildungsarbeit hier einzuschlagen sind.
