Dabei bieten kologische Manahmen in der Logistik zahlreiche Mglichkeiten die Betriebskosten signifikant zu senken. Um kologische Verbesserungspotenziale jedoch ausfindig machen zu knnen und Umweltmanahmen auch konomisch gezielt bewerten zu knnen, bedarf es der Implementierung eines koControllingSystems im jeweiligen Unternehmen. Das koControlling dient dann als Grundlage fr ein betriebliches Umweltmanagement, welches mithin fr die langfristige Erfllung der Umweltstrategie verantwortlich ist. Die wesentlichen Outputfaktoren fr die Bewertung der Umweltleistung von Logistikdienstleistern sind in den CO2 und Schadstoffemissionen, dem Abfallaufkommen oder dem Wasserverbrauch zu sehen. In dieser Studie wird hierauf aufbauend ein koKennzahlensystem entwickelt (bestehend aus 170 Einzelkennzahlen), welches in seiner Gesamtheit ber die Umweltleistung von Logistikern Auskunft geben kann. Die Untersuchung erlutert im weiteren Verlauf die allgemeine Untersttzungsfunktion der IT im Umweltmanagement von Logistikdienstleistern und beschreibt dabei das Konzept des betrieblichen Umweltinformationssystems" (BUIS).
