Im Mittelpunkt dieser Studie steht die empirische Untersuchung mit dem Hauptziel, Informationen von Unternehmen ber die erfolgreichen sowie nicht erfolgreichen OutsourcingProjekte der Vergangenheit, der Gegenwart und der Zukunft zu gewinnen und sie auszuwerten. Untersuchungsgegenstand sind Industrieunternehmen in Deutschland. In dieser Studie werden herkmmliche bzw. bekannte Risiken des Outsourcing zum Teil besttigt und neue Risiken erkannt. Zu den Hauptrisiken gehren weiterhin KnowhowVerlust, Abhngigkeit vom OutsourcingPartner, mangelnde Kostentransparenz und KontrollVerlust. Folgende Faktoren werden als weitere Risiken ermittelt: Probleme bei der Leistungsmessung, Auslagerung von Kernkompetenzen, personenbezogene Probleme, Leistungsdefinitionen und Kulturprobleme. Aus diesen ermittelten Risiken werden die Grenzen des Outsourcing abgeleitet. Das Gesamtergebnis dieser Studie ist praxisbezogen und in der Unternehmenspraxis komplett anwendbar.
