I made two trips to Australia in the early 70's. The first was March of 1971 for 5 months and the second was October 1972 for 2 years. The first trip I landed in Sydney, NSW. We bought a car and traveled North to Coolangatta, Queensland. My second trip I called Byron Bay, NSW my home. I surfed most of the surf spots between Angourie, NSW and Noosa, QLD. Fourtythree ago Byron Bay is not the same community that exists today, The back to nature laid back life style was the popular way to live outside the big cities.
