The second half of the book focuses on Western artists such as Pierre Bonnard, Mary Cassatt, Edgar Degas, Paul Gauguin, Henri Riviere, Henri de ToulouseLautrec, and James Abbott McNeill Whistler, who drew on the Japanese aesthetic in their own diverse ways.
