Nearly sixtyfive years ago the NewYork Historical Society acquired its first landscape painting by Jasper F. Cropsey. Since then additional works by the distinguished Hudson River school painter have supplemented the Societys holdings. Today we are delighted to join with Mrs. John C. Newington and the NewingtonCropsey Foundation to mount an exhibition that surveys the creative accomplishment of the artist.
