In Anlehnung an die Kampagnen der USamerikanischen Wahlkmpfe setzt sich der Begriff Amerikanisierung aus den Teilmerkmalen Professionalisierung, Personalisierung, Themen und Ereignismanagement, Kandidaten, Angriffswahlkampf und Einsatz moderner Methoden des politischen Marketings zusammen. Der vorliegende Forschungsbereicht beschftigt sich mit einer Ausprgung des Amerikanisierungskonzeptes, der Professionalisierung politischer Kommunikationspraxen. Dabei wird empirisch untersucht in wie fern unterschiedliche Gestaltungsarten von politischen Wahlwerbespots unterschiedliche Bewertungen beim Publikum generieren. Bevor jedoch in einem experimentellen Design, die zuvor erarbeitet Arbeitshypothesen geprft werden, wird zu Begin der vorliegenden Studie eine wissenschaftliche Rahmung und Einfhrung in das Forschungsgebiet der Amerikanisierung der politischen Kommunikation vorgenommen. Im Zuge dieser Erluterungen erfolgt ebenfalls eine theoretische und konzeptionelle Einordnung der Professionalisierung der Wahlkmpfe wobei auf ein wesentliches kommunikatives Instrument der politischen Kampagnen, politische Wahlwerbespots eingegangen wird.
