Jahrhundert erhoben sich Fragen nach einer adquaten Interpretation. Die vorliegende Untersuchung widmet sich dem Aspekt, inwieweit das theoretische Denken des Komponisten fr die Auslegung des Bhnenwerkes Aufschluss geben kann. Dabei sttzt sie sich auf dessen Tendenz zu kosmologischer Verallgemeinerung, die in den spten Abhandlungen verstrkt zutagetritt und im letzten Musiktraktat Vrits galement ignores et interressantes tires du sein de la nature (1764) kulminiert.
