The first dragon story was told to a group of students at Monocacy Elementary School in Montgomery County, Maryland as they waited for a late bus. The setting comes from Sugarloaf Mountain and the many farm houses in the area. Students at Monocacy and Sherwood Elementary School contributed many ideas to the stories. The stories tell of 14 adventures with a friendly magical dragon. Children learn many lessons about loyalty, friendship, problemsolving, following directions, and enjoying childhood. About the Author Jerry Perlet has retired from teaching after 38 years in the Montgomery County Public School system in Maryland. He is enjoying writing stories for children and adults.
