Sir Henry Rider Haggard is best known for his adventure novels, especially King Solomons Mines and She. Born in England, he emigrated to South Africa briefly, before returning to seek a legal career. He eventually became one of the most popular British authors of all time.Written in 1895, Joan Haste is a romance, but it has enough action to satisfy any of Haggards fans.
