Dabei muss es das Ziel1 der Exegese sein den Sinn des biblischen Textes in vorwiegend diachroner Weise als gegenwartsbezogenes Wort Gottes zu erfassen. Bei der zu untersuchenden Textstelle handelt es sich um Genesis 38. Diese Textstelle nimmt eine Sonderstellung innerhalb des Buches Genesis ein, da sie die Josephsgeschichte scheinbar unterbricht. Von besonderer Bedeutung ist ebenfalls die inhaltliche Thematik, dass sich in dieser Erzhlung eine Frau ihr Recht erkmpft. Doch schliet sich an dieser Stelle die Frage an, ob in Genesis 38 wirklich die Emanzipation der Frau angesprochen wird oder ob der Autor mglicherweise ein ganz anderes Ziel verfolgt? Die uns zur Verfgung stehenden Methoden der historischkritischen Exegese sollen nun helfen eine Antwort auf diese Frage zu finden und uns dem Ziel zu nhern den Text auch fr den heutigen Menschen verstehbar zu machen.
