Product Description Werner Max Finkelstein wurde 1925 in Gumbinnen (Ostpreussen) geboren. Mit zehn Jahren zog er nach Berlin und verlie Deutschland 1939 mit einem Kindertransport in Richtung Schweden. Als Fnfzehnjhriger machte er sich alleine auf die abenteuerliche Reise, um per Schiff und Bahn zu seiner inzwischen in Bolivien lebenden Mutter zu gelangen. Hier schlug er sich einige Jahre als Krokodiljger, Gefngnisaufseher und Minenarbeiter durch. 1948 gelangte er ber die "grne Grenze" nach Argentinien. Er wurde Journalist und leitete auch in den Zeiten der Militrdiktatur und Hyperinflation die letzte deutschsprachige Emigrantenzeitung Lateinamerikas. In der Redaktion lernte er sein 49 Jahre jngere Frau kennen, mit der er nach sechs Jahrzehnten der Emigration endlich nach Berlin zurckkehrte. About the Author Kerstin Emma Schirp, 1974 in Hamburg geboren, studierte und arbeitete ich zunchst in Wien, Prag und San Jos (Costa Rica). 1997 zog ich nach Buenos Aires (Argentinien), um ein Volontariat bei der deutschjdischen Emigrantenzeitung "Semanario Israelita" zu absolvierte. 1999 ging ich nach Berlin, wo ich zunchst promovierte und inzwischen als freie Journalistin und Schriftstellerin lebe.
