Dies Faktum ist indes kein Hinderungs grund, sich der Geschichte der Jugendbewegung nicht mehr anzunehmen, sie gleichsam wegen der Flle ihrer pu blizistischen Belege zu meiden. Wie sie in sich selbst eine publizistische "Kultur" entfaltet hat, so hat sie nachfol gend geschichtliche Analysen ebenfalls in einem Ma ange regt, durch die sich eigentlich weniger berschaubarkeit und eher Verbergung eingestellt hat. "Jugendbewegung" auch in ihrer, klassischen' Gestalt scheint zu einem beherrschenden Thema unserer Tage geworden zu sein. Begreift man Jugend und deren Kultur als die Vorwegnahme von Zuknftigkeit, so mu in einer Gesellschaft relativer Perspektivlosigkeit die Frage nach Jugend und ihrer Befindlichkeit, nach ihren Zukunftser wartungen und Lebensentwrfen gewi ein vorrangiges In teresse reklamieren. Ohne da wir hier eine Analyse vor wegnehmen wollen, knnen wir denn doch sagen, da Ju gendkunde in pdagogischer, sozial wissenschaftlicher oder sonstiger Absicht immens zugenommen hat und da es For schungsertrge gibt, an denen Wissenschaft heute nicht mehr vorbeisehen kann. Die SHELLStudie Jugend '85 ber das Gegenwartsprofil der gegenwrtigen Jugendgene ration hat gewi angeregt, auch irritiert, "Jugend" in neuen Kontexten zu bedenken, und diese berprfung auch auf dem Hintergrund vorzunehmen, den bisherige Ju gendforschung vorgestellt hat.
