Obwohl die Materie dieses brgerlichen Trauerspiels zunchst fremd und wie aus einer anderen Zeit anmutet, ist sie dennoch zeitlos. Allerdings haben sich mit dem Wandel der Zeit haben sich auch die Inszenierungen dieses Theaterstcks gendert. Lngst nicht jeder Regisseur hlt sich an Schillers Vorgaben und versucht dadurch Kabale und Liebe" dem Strom der Zeit anzupassen. Aber nicht jede moderne Inszenierung wird ein Erfolg, denn Erwartungshaltungen werden enttuscht, Kritik an der modernen Auffassung des Regisseurs wird laut ein Theaterskandal entsteht. In dieser Arbeit sollen drei Inszenierungen untersucht werden die zu ihrer Zeit als skandals galten: Gustav Lindemanns Inszenierung 1925 in Dsseldorf, Fritz Kortners 1965 in Mnchen und Jrgen Kruses Inszenierung 1996 in Bochum. Nachdem im ersten Teil kurz die Entstehungsgeschichte und eine Inhaltsangabe von Kabale und Liebe" gegeben worden sind, werden im zweiten Punkt die drei Inszenierungen ausfhrlich untersucht und besprochen. Dieser Untersuchung folgt im dritten Teil ein Vergleich der die Unterschiede herausstellen soll und somit den Wandel dieses Theaterstcks deutlich macht. Dies geschieht erst allgemein und dann wird der Wandel nochmals durch den Vergleich der verschiedenen Rollenauffassungen der Figur Wurm" gezeigt. Es soll auch versucht werden, eine Erklrung abzugeben weshalb diese Stcke zu einem Skandal wurden, da diese Arbeit jedoch hauptschlich Theaterrezensionen als Grundlage benutzt, knnen meistens nur Vermutungen geuert werden.
