Die Rede ist vom japanischen Modell des Kaizen. Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es zu ermitteln, ob Kaizen eine fr die Soziale Arbeit ertragreiche Methode ist ihre Qualitt zu sichern und sogar zu verbessern. Dabei geht es weniger um die Methoden der Umsetzung oder die Frage ob das Modell berhaupt in Japan in vollem Umfang eingesetzt wird, sondern in erster Linie um die Frage, ob ein Modell, welches in einer fremden Kultur entwickelt wurde, berhaupt so ohne weiteres in die deutsche Landschaft der sozialen Organisationen bernommen werden kann. Dieser Frage liegt die Annahme zugrunde, dass sich deutsche und japanische Unternehmen vermutlich in ihrer Struktur und Arbeitsweise voneinander unterscheiden, genauso wie dies auch in der Gesellschaft der Fall ist zu sein scheint. In den folgenden Kapiteln werde ich diesen Annahmen und Fragen auf den Grund gehen. Beginnen werde ich zunchst mit einer genauen Beschreibung des Qualittsmanagements. Was ist Qualittsmanagement? Warum ist es berhaupt ntig? Das sind zentrale Fragen des zweiten Kapitels. Kapitel 3 beschftigt sich dann mit dem Begriff der Organisationskultur. Ziel ist es zu klren, ob Organisationen tatschlich eine eigene bestimmende Kultur aufweisen und ob diese die Qualitt der Dienstleistung oder Ware mit beeinflusst. Im Anschluss daran werfen wir einen nheren Blick auf japanische Organisationen. Ziel ist die Ermittlung der Organisationskultur der fernstlichen Wirtschaft und deren Unternehmen. Ist dies gelungen gilt es im darauf folgenden Abschnitt darzustellen, wie genau die Organisationskultur sozialer Organisationen beschaffen ist.
