August Aichhorn und Marian Heitger folgende Forschungsfragen: 1.) An welchen Gesichtspunkten hat sich pdagogisches Handeln in Bezug auf die Arbeit mit verwahrlosten Kindern und Jugendlichen nach August Aichhorn und Marian Heitger zu orientieren? 2.) Sind diese beiden Positionen kompatibel? Aus der Behandlung dieser beiden Fragen entwickelte sich eine dritte Frage, die zur zentralen Forschungsfrage meiner Arbeit wurde: 3.) Kann August Aichhorns Handeln aus dem Blickwinkel Marian Heitgers Prinzipien als pdagogisch" angesehen werden? Aichhorn, der psychoanalytische Theorieelemente zur Begrndung seines zuvor gesetzten Handelns herangezogen hatte, verfolgte als Erziehungsziel die Kulturfhigkeit. Der Zgling sollte vom Lustprinzip ber die primitive Realittsfhigkeit durch die Erziehung zur Kulturfhigkeit gelangen. Das Erlangen der Kulturfhigkeit sah er gleichzeitig auch als eine Charaktervernderung, indem die Ichstruktur insbesondere die Ausbildung des berIchs verndert wird. Dabei richtete sich Aichhorns Augenmerk primr auf das emotionale Erleben des Kindes. Heitgers Ziel der Erziehung ist eine Gewissensbildung. Diese richte sich auf die Vernunft. Weiters nennt Heitger Prinzipien, nach denen sich Erziehung orientieren muss. Einige dieser Prinzipien habe ich in meiner Arbeit nher ausgefhrt. Es sind dies Selbstbestimmung und Mndigkeit, argumentativer Dialog und Takt. Heitger bezeichnet ein Handeln, das sich nicht nach diesen Prinzipien orientiert, als nichtpdagogisch". Auch bei der Anwendung von Erziehungsmitteln gibt es unterschiedliche Sichtweisen.
