Quer durch das politische Spektrum ist man sich sicher; Schuld tragen die gierigen' Banker und Fondsmanager, die die Bankeinlagen der Sparer an der Brse durch unserise Spekulationen verzockten'. So verkndet die globalisierungskritische Bewegung Attac auf der Homepage ihrer Kampagne Das Casino schlieen!': Die aktuelle Krise ist keine Naturkatastrophe. Sie ist die direkte Folge der Gier und der Skrupellosigkeit der Banker und Fondsmanager [...]' (Attac 2009). Diese Einschtzung der Krisenursachen teilen offenbar smtliche brgerlichen Medien vom eher linksliberalen Spiegel bis zur konservativen Welt. Im ffentlichen Diskurs wird stark mit moralischen Kategorien argumentiert, selten wird jedoch die Frage nach dem kapitalistischen System und den daraus resultierenden Strukturen, die das Handeln der Akteure determinieren, gestellt. Zwar scheint nach der Krise pltzlich Einigkeit darber zu herrschen, dass es sich bei den Selbstregulierungskrften des freien Marktes um ein neoliberales Ammenmrchen handelt, auf der anderen Seite wird die Notwendigkeit der staatlichen Regulierung der Finanzmrkte nicht mit einem dem System inhrenten Krisenpotential, sondern mit der Gier und dem menschlichen Versagen einzelner Akteure begrndet.
