Ergebnisse eines vom Betriebswirtschaftlichen Forschungszentrum fUr Fragen der mlttel standischen Wirtschaft (BF 1MBayreuth) durchgefiihrten Forschungsprojekt zum Thema "Computergestiitzte Produktionsplanung und steuerung im Mlttelstand" belegen aber, daB gerade die mlttelstandische Industrie hinslchtlich des Einsatzes lelstungsfcihiger Heuristi ken zur LosgroBenpianung erhebliche Planungsdefizlte aufweist. Vor diesem Hintergrund leltet Dr. Ronald Hechtfischer die zwei wesentlichen Zielsetzungen seiner Arbeit ab: Zum einen soil ein Oberblick iiber neuere Entwicklungen insbesondere auf dem Gebiet der Bestimmung wirtschaftlicher LosgroBen bei Voriiegen von Kapazitiits beschrankungen gegeben werden. Zum anderen wird ein neues computergestiitztes Naherungsverfahren zur LosgroBenplanung bei Montagestrukturen und Voriiegen eines Kapazitiitsengpasses vorgestellt.
