Seit 1974 wird vom Bundesministerium fr Forschung und Technolo gie ein greres Programm in der Industrie gefrdert, das die Ent wicklung einer Gasturbine unter Verwendung keramischer Komponenten zum Ziel hat. Im Zuge geringer werdender Rohstoffreserven, knapper oder teurer werdender Treibstoffe und grer werdender Umweltverschmutzung sind weltweite Bestrebungen nach der Entwicklung alternativer, wirtschaftlicher Fahrzeugantriebe zu verzeichnen. Einer der ein geschlagenen Wege ist die Verbesserung des Wirkungsgrades von Kleingastu~inen durch Erhhung der Arbeitstemperaturen. Da aus Kostengrnd'en beim KraftfahrzeugAntrieb eine Bauteilkhlung aus scheidet, soll die ertragbare Bauteiltemperatur durch Verwendung der keramischen Hochtemperaturwerkstoffe Siliziumnitrid (Bi N ) 3 4 und Siliziumkarbid (Sie) erhht werden. Der vorliegende Tagungsband enthlt die whrend des StatusSemi nars 'Keramische Komponenten fr die FahrzeugGasturbine' am 18. und 19. April 1978 in Bad Neuenahr gehaltenen bersichtsvortrge ber Hochtemperaturkeramiken und die KraftfahrzeugGasturbine so wie die Einzelvortrge der am Projekt. beteiligten Firmen ber den Stand der Entwicklungsarbeiten nach Abschlu der ersten dreijh rigen Phase des Projekts. Ausrichtung und Organisation des Seminars lagen im Auftrag des Bundesministeriums fr Forschung und Technologie beim Projekt trger und Projektbegleiter des Programms, dem Institut fr Werk stoffForschung der Deutschen Forschungs und Versuchsanstalt fr Luft und Raumfahrt.
