Das Prograrnm 'Keramische Bautei1e ftir FahrzeugGasturbinen' wird seit 1974 vom Bundesministerium ftir Forschung und Techno10gie (BMFT) in der Keramik und KraftfahrzeugIndustrie sowie an ver schiedenen Forschungsinstituten gefordert mit dem Zie1, eine Gas turbine unter Verwendung keramischer Komponenten zu entwicke1n. Bedingt durch teurer werdende Treibstoffe, groBer werden de Um we1tverschmutzung und knapper und teurer werdende Rohstoffe sind we1tweite Bestrebungen nach der Entwick1ung a1ternativer, wirt schaft1icher Fahrzeugantriebe zu verzeichnen. Neben E1ektroan trieb, Stir1ingmotor und verbesserten Diese1motoren ist die Ent wick1ung von K1eingasturbinen mit durch Erhohung der Arbeitstempe raturen verbesserten Wirkungsgraden einer der eingesch1agenen Wege. Da aus Kostengrtinden beim KraftfahrzeugAntrieb eine Baute ktih1ung ausscheidet, soll die ertragbare Bautei1temperatur durch Verwendung der keramischen Hochtemperaturwerkstoffe Si1iziumnitrid und Si1iziumkarbid erhoht werden. Im Frtihjahr 1978 wurde tiber die erste dreijahrige Forderungsphase des Prograrnms bereits auf einem StatusSeminar in Bad Neuenahr berichtet. Vortrage wurden in dem Buch 'Keramische Komponenten ftir FahrzeugGasturbinen' zusarnmengefaBt. Der vor1iegende zweite Tagungsband enthalt die wah rend des StatusSeminars vom 24. bis 26. November 1980 in Bad Neuenahr von den am Projekt betei1igten Firmen und Instituten geha1tenen Vortrage, we1che tiber den Stand der Entwick1ungsarbeiten nach einer sechsjahrigen Laufzeit des Projekts und tiber die Abschatzung der Zie1erreichung drei Jahre vor Prograrnmende berichten. Ausrichtung und Organisation des Seminars lagen im Auf trag des Bundesministeriumsftir Forschung und Techno10gie beim Projekttrager und Projektbeg1eiter des Prograrnms, dem Institut ftir Werkstoff Forschung der Deutschen Forschungs und Versuchsansta1t ftir Luft und Raumfahrt.
