Es handelt sich bei meinem Aufsatz urn die tiberarbeitete Fassung des Referats 'Zur Analyse des proletarischen Kindertheaters und der institutionellen Spiel piidagogik in der Bundesrepublik und WestBerlin', das ich im Mai 1973 auf der Tagung 'Drei Jahre emanzipatorisches Theaterspiel mit Kindem', veran staltet von der ev. Akademie Hamburg, in Bad Segeberg gehalten habe. 1 M. Schedler, Kindertheater. Geschichte, Modelle, Projekte, Frankfurt/ Main 1972, S. 21. 2 Ebd. 3 Der Begriff des Kindertheaters ist bei Schedler weit gefachert. Er schlieBt Bereiche der Kunst wie der Spielpiidagogik mit ein. Priizise liiBt er sich nicht eingrenzen. Eher liiBt er sich abgrenzen, vor aIIem von der spielpiid agogischen Tradition, die von Frtsbel hergeleitet, die deutschen Kinder giirten, also den vorschulischen Bereich, beherrschte und beherrscht. Kin dertheater ist also in dem umfassenderen Sinn gemeint, der Theater fur Kinder ebenso wie Theater mit Kindem einschlieBt. 4 M. Schedler (1972, S. 8) nimmt in Anspruch, daB er diesen Ansatz ftir seine Analyse auch gewiihlt hat: 'Sie geht aus von der Wechselbeziehung zwischen dem Oberbauphiinomen Kindertheater und der gesellschaft lichen Basis und versucht, diese Wechselbeziehung zu aktivieren. ' Jedoch ist eine historische Darstellung nicht deshalb schon materialistisch, wei! der jewei!s behandelte Gegenstand in diesem Fall also Kindertheate in Beziehung mit dem Zeitgeschehen gesetzt wird. Zum Beispiel proble matisiert Schedler nicht die Frage, warum es in der Weimarer Zeit eine Spielbewegung gab und heute wieder.
