Die Namen der Verfasser verbleiben unentdeckt.2 Bei der Untersuchung von Stellen, die mit der altfranzsischen Version identisch sind, werden die Ausfhrungen von HansHugo Steinhoff zu der bersetzung des deutschen ProsaLancelots aus dem Altfranzsischen bercksichtigt.3 Die Aussage von HansHugo Steinhoff soll die Annahme vertreten, dass bei aller Problematik der exakten berprfbarkeit, die altfranzsische Version verglichen mit der mittelhochdeutschen Variante einen identischen Inhalt aufweist. Diese Erkenntnis soll die Haltung, dass die Interpretation der altfranzsischen Vorlage durchaus zur Sttzung der Interpretation der eventuellen bersetzung des ProsaLancelots aus dem Altfranzsischen ins Mittelhochdeutsche dienen kann, festigen. Einspruch dagegen kann aufgrund der Beweislage und Widerlegung der Behauptung, es habe eine direkte bersetzung gegeben4, von Pentti Tilvis erhoben werden. Die vorliegende Arbeit ist ein Versuch, die Kindheitsmuster" im deutschen Prosaroman Lancelot" und die damit zusammenhngenden Themen, wie Erziehung und Bildung, darzustellen, zu errtern und zu analysieren. Es soll der Frage nachgegangen werden, inwiefern Kinder in dem Prosaroman Lancelot" als Kinder im heutigen Verstndnis dargestellt werden. Dabei soll die literarische Fiktion mit der zeitgenssischen Realitt verglichen werden. Die Formen der Mtterlichkeiten und Vterlichkeiten spielen unterdessen eine bedeutende Rolle, auch diese werden einer nheren Prfung unterzogen. Eines der Diskussionsverfahren in der vorliegenden Arbeit bedient sich der Gegenberstellung zu einigen Beispielen aus weiteren Werken der fiktiven mittelhochde
