Gibt es tatschlich bereinstimmende feststellbare Merkmale, die Filme mit den Prdikaten poetisch" oder kitschig" aufweisen, oder sind die Konnotationen dieser Begriffe rein rezeptionell bedingte, subjektive Kategorien, die je nach Betrachter und Umstand differieren? Poesie ist so schwer zu verstehen, ich mag Kitsch, weil er mich von mir entfhrt." Was ich mit Poesie verbinde ist etwas, was meine Seele, mein Herz berhrt, nicht mein logisches Denken oder meinen Verstand." Fr mich ist Kitsch etwas berflssiges, berzeichnetes. Man will etwas mit berflssigen Mitteln zu etwas werden lassen, was man mit anderen Mitteln nicht konnte." Dies sind nur ein paar Aussagen, die ich zum Thema Kitsch und Poesie im Film in eigenen Umfragen gesammelt habe, aber sie spiegeln die Vielfalt der Meinungen zu dem Thema gut wider. Wie so vieles ist Poesie und Kitsch nicht absolut, sondern entsteht erst im Auge des Betrachters. Das Empfinden fr Kitsch und Poesie ist in hohem Mae individuell geprgt und durch soziale, kulturelle und zeitliche Rahmenbedingungen beeinflusst, es sind subjektive Begrifflichkeiten, die darber hinaus je nach kulturellem Referenzrahmen stark in ihrer Ausprgung und Wirkung variieren knnen. Zudem werden Kitsch und Poesie hufig im Diskurs ber Qualittsunterschiede in der Rezeption von Kunstprodukten verwendet: ob ein Film als kitschig oder poetisch angesehen wird, kann also nicht in der Herstellungsphase definitiv festgelegt werden, sondern erfordert das Einbeziehen von Werturteilen eines breiten Publikums.
