Bereits vor und auch whrend des Studiums mit dem fachlichen Schwerpunkt in der Gesundheits und Pflegewissenschaft sammelte der Autor umfassende Erfahrungen im klinischen Bereich durch seine Ttigkeit als Gesundheits und Krankenpfleger. Die medizinischen Inhalte seines Studiums konnten sein umfangreiches medizinisches Fachwissen ergnzen. Durch die Erfahrungen mit Hypertonikern im klinischen sowie ambulanten Bereich wurde der Autor motiviert, sich der Thematik des vorliegenden Buches zu widmen.
